| The Simple Past
The Simple Past is used to express that an action started and ended in the past. Further it is used to describe general facts in the past. The Simple Past tense of all regular English verbs is built by adding the ending -ed to the verb.Unfortunately this means you have to learn the irregular forms by heart. Indicators for the Simple Past are for example phrases such as: yesterday, an hour ago, the other day, last night, in 1990 etc. | ||
